Among the anticipation for the upcoming Doctor Who's 60th-anniversary specials that are expected later this year, David Tenant made a slip — and gave the Whoniverse fans hope for another new Doctor Who project.

The Doctor Who series is absolutely record-breaking in regards to both its duration and its fans' loyalty.

The people who were born when the show's first ever episode came out in 1963 are sixty years old now!

And those who fell in love with the series back then are now in their eighties. While this is sinking in, let's move forward.

Apart from the main series, both the original and the reboot, Doctor Who also has quite a few specials and documentaries.

One of the latter was Doctor Who: Confidential which featured behind-the-scenes footage and cast interviews.

Despite its short format, it became popular with the fans because it allowed a sneak peek into the heart of the show.

Though the Confidential series was closed a dozen years ago to cut the production cost for the main show, there were recently rumors that it might come back under a new name — Doctor Who: Unleashed.

No official confirmation has followed yet, but David Tennant, one of the most popular Doctors from the reboot, might have just confirmed it himself.

At the recent Galaxy Con, Tennant made a slip when talking about the Doctor Who specials with the fans.

"It was all filmed by all the various Doctor Who Confidential-style people, so you'll see all that," said David.

The question "Why would the BBC need those 'Confidential-style people'?" is asking for an immediate answer: that's because they're actively working on the rumored Doctor Who: Unleashed series!

While those people could've also been involved in the upcoming special or any other sort of project, one thing remains clear: the Whoniverse community can expect something new soon.

If it's just the 60th anniversary special, that's fine, but…

Let's be real: most of the fans miss the Confidential side series, and they'd love to see it come back in a new form after such a long break.
