As one of the most popular and successful child actors, Daniel Radcliffe was always at risk of becoming a one-role actor like some of his colleagues.

However, that was exactly what he strove to avoid ever since he realized acting was his true path which happened about halfway through the Harry Potter franchise, Radcliffe shared with GQ.

As the main Harry Potter star, Daniel Radcliffe worked with many great actors in the course of his work on the franchise. For example, Radcliffe remembers how he had a frank conversation with Gary Oldman, playing Sirius Black in the series.

The famed actor told him that at his young age, Radcliffe had achieved what most actors had to go a long way towards, the freedom to not ever worry about paying his bills and be pickier in his future career, even if that came with a price of becoming a one-role actor.

"I had this awareness that people expected we would do nothing after 'Potter' — that we would fade away," Radcliffe told GQ. "I really wanted that not to be the case, because I knew that I loved it, and I wanted to do whatever I have to do to have a career with longevity."

That's why for his role model, Radcliffe chose one actor who had never played in Harry Potter. Radcliffe revealed that Harrison Ford has become a model for his acting career because of his various roles beloved by fans and the longevity of his career.

Harrison Ford indeed is a good role model for a person who longs to become a demanded and accomplished actor. Ask any fan what Ford's role is his favorite, and you'll get very different answers. Some will immediately remember Han Solo, others Indiana Jones. But there'll definitely be those who name Rick Deckard from Blade Runner and Dr. Richard Kimble from The Fugitive.

Harry Potter's Best Casting Is Not Who You Think (Most Likely)

The filmography of the actor is truly impressive, even though he played several iconic roles in legendary franchises. More than that, Ford's legendary acting path is ongoing. The actor has recently joined the Marvel Cinematic Universe, taking over the role of General Thaddeus E. "Thunderbolt" Ross. You see, Daniel Radcliffe has chosen a great inspiration behind his acting career.

Needless to say, with such a role model, Radcliffe managed to not get stuck in one character. He has played in over 30 movies and series apart from Harry Potter and gained a considerable fan base outside of Wizarding World thanks to his sometimes weird but always amazing roles, think Swiss Army Man and Horns. Currently, the diverse actor is flaunting his mustache and accordion in different photoshoots promoting his new film, Weird: The Al Yankovic Story.
