Could New The Bold and the Beautiful Mystery Character Help Saving RJ? 

It's hard to find a soap character as unlikable as The Bold and the Beautiful's RJ. What's worse is that there's no particular reason for such hatred, as the main problem the majority of viewers have with his character is that he's completely pointless.

Ever since he came back to the show, people have been wondering if he's going to play a major role in an ongoing drama. However, RJ has taken the position of the lurker: always involved in everyone else's business, but never having anything even remotely interesting going on for himself.

The only thing viewers got to know about him was a picture of his bare abs. Not nearly enough to have a purpose on TV, but a nice sight nonetheless.

Things may change for RJ this September, as a mystery character is joining the cast of The Bold and the Beautiful who may be right up his alley. Portrayed by Cruel Summer's vet Lisa Yamada, a new fashion design student named Luna will arrive at Forrester Creations with a secret that the audience will have to find out.

Longtime viewers of the CBS drama already have their suspicions about the character and her relationship with both RJ and Sheila. Since both characters are not very popular in the fandom, a new storyline sounds like a great idea. Especially if Luna's appearance will cause some soapy chaos (we’re thinking some unplanned pregnancies or parental tests).

For what it's worth, The Bold and the Beautiful fans are happy to welcome another character into a story, no matter what role she's supposed to play. There are only so many scandals you can create with the same characters in the spotlight for years, so a drop of fresh blood would be nice either way.

Lisa Yamada will make her first appearance in The Bold and the Beautiful on Wednesday, September 13th. Mark your calendars and tune in to CBS so you don't miss the introduction of a new character.
