Will everyone have a happy end in Chicago P.D.? This fan theory gives an answer.

Why don't we want Chicago P.D. to end?

Well, simply because the show has been doing a great job keeping our interest stirred up with its realistic portrayal of police work, gritty setting, thought-provoking storylines that often deal with controversial issues, strong performances from its cast, and interconnectedness with other Chicago-based dramas in the franchise.

Currently in its tenth season, it was previously announced by NBC that the show was renewed for an eleventh season.

However, fans are already speculating on what the potential ending of the show might be as some people also think that season 11 might become the last season of the police procedural drama.

One of the theories suggested by fans seems like a good ending for everyone.

According to the fan's theory, the storyline for Chicago P.D. could involve Voight being injured, which doesn't result in his death but leads to his retirement.

The fan believes that Hailey may leave the show before its conclusion.

The relationship between Kim and Adam remains unchanged as they come to the realization that their unique family dynamic is working for them.

Kevin is promoted to a higher position, although not necessarily as the leader of intelligence.

Trudy and Mouch retire, with the show incorporating their departure and giving them a happy ending.

The theory sounds really promising as it mostly reflects what the majority of fans would like the show's ending to be.

Voight being injured and retired is a good way to conclude this character's arc, however, some fans still think that Voight may die. Kevin getting a promotion also seems like a logical result of his work in the Intelligence Unit.

Anyway, it is too early to make predictions on what the ending of the show is going to be as it is still unclear what the current season's finale will surprise us with.

And again, it was confirmed that the show will have its eleventh season, so there is too much unknown to speculate whether the show will have a happy ending.

While hoping that the eleventh season isn't the last one, make sure to check out the latest episode aired this Wednesday on NBC.
