Just like Colin, we were all left speechless.

Summary:

  • Bridgerton is a Netflix romance period drama based on Julia Quinn's series of novels of the same name.
  • The show follows the structure of the novels, with each season dedicated to a Bridgerton sibling and their romantic interest.
  • Fans were worried that after 2 seasons of unrequited love, there wouldn't be any chemistry between Colin and Penelope, the stars of season 3.
  • After the release of the first teaser clip, even the skeptics had to admit that they were wrong.

No matter how dark the world around us can get, television always offers a way to escape. Whether it's another universe, the future, the past, or just a polished version of modern reality, whenever you're feeling down, all you have to do is log into your Netflix account and choose your destination.

The glamorized pastel version of Regency London in Bridgerton, for example, came in handy during the COVID-19 pandemic and the waves of lockdowns. To this day, the team behind the show is certain that it contributed greatly to the show's success.

However, season 2, which was released in 2022, proved that Bridgerton is a show to watch no matter what the circumstances. And now that season 3 is finally just a few months away, the fandom is buzzing with anticipation with each new promo Netflix releases.

Bridgerton Season 3 First Look

As part of a big teaser of Netflix's projects for 2024, a first clip of Bridgerton's Season 3 was finally revealed to the fans. Since it's been almost 2 years since viewers saw the last of Bridgerton, they couldn't contain their excitement for the show's return. Seeing the season's charismatic leads in action only made it more real.

Even though Colin Bridgerton and Penelope Featherington, aka Polin, have a huge following on social media, there were still people in the fandom who weren't too happy to know that they would be getting a third season.

In Julia Quinn's original series, Anthony's book is followed by Benedict's. However, Shondaland and Netflix decided to take the risky step of changing the order, which now seems to be paying off.

While people weren't initially convinced that two years of Penelope's unanswered longing for Colin hadn't killed the romantic vibe, the first 50 seconds of the show have proven otherwise. No matter who your favorite sibling is, or whether you like the tropes for this season or not, Luke Newton and Nicola Coughlan's acting doesn't leave any room for indifference.

If you are dying to see all of Bridgerton season 3, be sure to tune in to Netflix on May 16 for the premiere of part one. The second part will be released on June 11, so don't forget to mark both dates on your calendar.
