"Bridgerton" Star Nicola Coughlan Almost Played This Pivotal 'Stranger Things' Character
'Bridgerton' is a massive show – scoring and breaking numerous records for Netflix, period melodrama introduced many young new actors to the worldwide success. However, some of them were almost able to make it on their own much earlier.
Speaking to BuzzFeed, Nicola Coughlan, known for her turn as Lady Whistledown, revealed that she actually auditioned for a pretty big role in the third season of 'Stranger Things '. The role in question being Robin, friend and co-worker of Steve (Joe Keery) – the part was eventually given to Maya Hawke.
However, Coughlan isn't upset at all that she didn't get the role in the Netflix 's mystery show, explaining that she realized Hawke was a much better choice.
"She was far better than I ever would have been...It's a good lesson to actors: watch the stuff you didn't get, because you'll totally understand how it's not personal. You' r e just right for some things, and you're not right for other things", actress told BuzzFeed.
