She truly is one of us now.

Summary:

  • Bridgerton is a romantic period drama adapted by Shondaland and Netflix from Julia Quinn's book series of the same name.
  • The production of the second season had to be delayed due to the restrictions of the COVID-19 pandemic. The next season was promised to minimize the wait.
  • However, a year and a half after the premiere of season 2, season 3 still doesn't have a release date, leading to similar frustration among both the fandom and the cast.

For a fandom as large as Bridgerton's, there's nothing more annoying than sitting around for years waiting for the next season. So far, the show has shown incredible results and an overwhelmingly positive audience response, but fans fear that could change if the pace of new content releases continues.

It is no secret that the second season of Bridgerton fell victim to a global pandemic. Because of COVID, there was no way for the team to resume work earlier than they did, and still, the cast and crew had to work under strict conditions to make it happen, which made it take more time.

Fortunately, this did not affect the quality of the content, and the show continued. Going into seasons 3 and 4, the show's executive producer, Shonda Rhimes, has stated that she is looking forward to minimizing the gap between seasons. However, after season 2 premiered in March 2022, season 3 is nowhere to be found.

In fact, it has yet to be officially announced. And the closer we get to the end of 2023, the less patience viewers have.

Nicola Coughlan Memes About Season 3

It's not only the fans who are affected by the unexplained delay of the Bridgerton series, but also the series' leads. With the season focusing on the relationship between Colin Bridgerton and Penelope Featherington, the actors behind those roles, Luke Newton and Nicola Coughlan, are getting more questions than anyone else.

Unfortunately, neither actor seems to have any answers to share with the fans at the moment. And as tired and frustrated as everyone is at this point, Nicola Coughlan is trying to remind the fandom that she's the one who wants to share the exciting news in the best possible way.

The actress has shared a series of stories, explaining that as soon as she has permission, she will start to share the info. However, the best and the best-received one was a meme with an elderly version of Titanic ’s Rose, titled “Me in 2024 when things I filmed in 2022 finally come out”.

Although Coughlan did not necessarily mention the Bridgerton series, there is no doubt that no other fandom could show the same level of impatience right now. If you want to see Bridgerton season 3 on Netflix, make sure to keep an eye on it so you do not miss any news and updates.
