Brad Pitt-Led Drama Dubbed the Best War Movie of All Time Just Joined Netflix

War movies can be just as terrifying to watch as they are exciting. Out of all military conflicts that have ever happened, World War II was the most brutal and the most spoken-about, with countless movies and TV shows made about it.

If you’re a fan and happen to have a Netflix subscription, you’re in luck today, because one of the best war movies ever just joined the red-and-black streaming platform.

Brad Pitt’s Fury Is Unforgiving

Directed by David Ayer and led by Brad Pitt, 2014’s Fury has a spectacular cast including Shia LaBeouf, Logan Lerman, Jon Bernthal, and many others. In this brutal and honest depiction of World War II, we’re following an American tank crew fighting their way through the Nazi Germany in the last weeks of the biggest war in Europe.

After one of the crew’s original members dies in a tank battle, he’s replaced with a young typist clerk who’s terrified of the war and isn’t used to making harsh decisions. The rest of the crew resents him for his softness more and more as the time goes by, especially because his actions and inactions often cost them a lot. The tensions keep rising higher, and the ruthlessly efficient leader of the crew has to make a call.

Fury Earned All the Praise It Got

Thanks to the amazing star-studded cast, Fury is largely praised for its acting and raw emotions. The movie doesn’t shy away from showing the most gruesome details of a massive-scale war, and it’s not a light-hearted movie to watch in the evening; but if you’re willing to share their stress and hardships with the soldiers, it’s a real treat.

Fury earned a lot of praise from critics and viewers alike. On Rotten Tomatoes, the war drama boasts 76 and 84% Tomatometer and Audience Scores, respectively; IMDb gave it a 7.6/10 score, too.
