The entire seventh season doesn't seem to have a big villain, because Michael Prince is anything but that.

Billions has spent already spent seven episodes of its seventh season to try and persuade us that Michael Prince is something along the lines of the new Hitler and a massive threat to the entire world. So far, it's not like it's working with everybody.

We have been watching Prince aiming for the US presidential office, and while the campaign itself may seem dull, pretty much everyone on the show is convinced that Mike is a dangerous fascist. This is especially true for Wendy, who has already compared Prince to a bald Hitler, insisting that he must be stopped before he's in office, or else, "the country will scream. "

Exactly why will it scream, though?

So far, Billions fans fail to feel truly threatened by Mike Prince, given that Wendy's demonization of him is probably the only proof of his villainous nature. Don't get us wrong, it's not like Prince is a knight in shining armor, but how about other people Wendy knows and works closely with?

In previous seasons, Axe's behavior was absolutely demonic; and Wendy and Wags, too, engaged in things that were not pretty. Still, it looks like some things are only evil when they're not practiced by your pals.

"[It] sucks that the show has to end with such a poor story where the audience is supposed to forget how disgusting Axe, Wags and Wendy behaved in the previous seasons and now a character with better morals than them is somehow the villain they have to defeat from the inside," Redditor Titanium194 noted in their bitter post.

Despite the fans' complaints that Mike Prince's villainous twist makes little to no sense, Billions just continues to throw the “Do you REALLY want THIS GUY in charge of the nuclear codes?” questions around, as if other characters on this show are a more perfect fit for the job.

Season 7 will mark Billions' final chapter, so the show may want to try and explain itself before fans are left there fuming after the finale. Currently, we have five more episodes to air, and there's plenty of time to either cool Wendy off or actually make Mike Prince the villain she believes him to be.

Next episode of Billions airs on Paramount Plus on September 29, with the finale scheduled for October 27.
