It’s Taylor Swift’s world and we all just live in it — the American singer, who in recent years captured everyone’s attention across the globe, is currently breaking her own record.

A new film version of her current Eras world tour debuted on Disney+ less than a week ago, but already managed to bring more than 16 million viewers to the screen thus becoming the most-watched music film in the platform’s history. And for this it needed just one weekend.

Eras Tour film was first released last October, but now there’s a new (Taylor’s) version that comes with five additional fan-favorite songs in it — cardigan, which is included in the main setlist, and four acoustical surprise songs like Maroon, Death by a Thousand Cuts, You Are In Love and I Can See You. The new addition brings half an hour more to the previous film version that runs for 3 hours.

When it comes to Taylor Swift, it’s already not surprising to hear about yet another broken record — Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour became a huge box office hit back in October with more than $250 million uniting all fans around the world In the cinemas.

After landing on Disney+ the film managed to beat other successful music movies from Billie Eilish, Elton John and even Swift herself who previously had released folklore: the long pond studio sessions on Disney+ back in 2020. Besides, it surpassed the Oscars darling, Emma Stone ’s Poor Things, as well as several animated classics like Moana, Encanto, Elemental, and Inside Out.

To celebrate Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour coming to the platform, Disney+ made a truly touching tribute to Taylor Swift’s long-lasting music career. On the release day, March 14, its home page turned into Swift’s fan-themed platform — with special collections titled Fearless, Speak Now, Red, Reputation and other names that are taken directly from Taylor Swift’s album titles.

Meanwhile, it’s not a breakpoint for the famous singer — her next album, The Tortured Poets Department, is coming to all music platforms on April 19.
