All the Family Duos Who Were in Harry Potter, Ranked
Great Britain is a small country with a limited number of actors. On the set of almost any movie, you can easily run into a couple of your acquaintances and sometimes even relatives. Harry Potter is no exception.
There are quite a few Harry Potter actors who are family IRL, and we bet you don't know the half of them!
#6 James Phelps & Oliver Phelps
Don't get us wrong, we do love George and Fred Weasley! The reason they come in sixth place is that they are the most obviously related Harry Potter actors.
Even though James and Oliver like to tell the story that they actually met during the audition, we know better than to believe these twin rascals!
#5 Brendan Gleeson & Domhnall Gleeson
There might have been another Weasley (an uncle or something) that Brendan could have played just as well.
Despite his red hair and obvious resemblance to his son Domhnall, Brendan plays a different character, ex-Auror Alastor "Mad-Eye" Moody, in three of the Harry Potter movies, while Domhnall appears as Bill, the eldest son of Arthur and Molly, in both parts of Deathly Hallows.
Quite the family duo!

#4 Emma Watson & Alex Watson
Emma's real-life brother can actually be spotted in Harry Potter too! Alex shares a few scenes with the Golden Trio in the fifth movie.
His Gryffindor character (like brother, like sister) is actually sitting next to Ron and Hermione in the famous Do You Ever Stop Eating scene.
In another Order of the Phoenix scene, Alex is standing next to Emma in the Hogwarts courtyard. We would have never guessed!
#3 Emma Thompson & Sophie Thompson
Even our beloved Professor Trelawney, played by Emma Thompson, couldn't have predicted that her own sister would later make an appearance in the same franchise.
Sophie has small but important roles in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1 – she plays both Mafalda Hopkirk, who works for the Ministry of Magic, and Hermione disguised as Mafalda (and she has done such a good job too!).

#2 Tom Felton & Nigel Anstey
Did you know that Tom Felton's grandfather had a cameo role in the first movie? That's right, Nigel Anstey appears in a few scenes as an unnamed Hogwarts professor.
For instance, his character is sitting next to Lee Jordan during the Quidditch match.
You may also notice Anstey in the scene where Harry, Ron, Hermione, and Draco see the Great Hall for the first time. By the way, Tom's grandpa is not an actor, but a geophysicist!
#1 Ralph Fiennes & Hero Fiennes Tiffin
If you are wondering why 11-year-old Tom Riddle looks a lot like and gives off the same vibe as Voldemort himself, that is because these actors are related (and the first place goes out to them).
Our favorite Dark Lord, played by Ralph Fiennes, has a nephew who is also an actor! Hero Fiennes Tiffin is the one who plays Riddle in the flashback scene in the sixth movie.
Later, he actually found fame thanks to the role of Hardin Scott in the After saga.
