911 Fans Moved On From Buddie And Now Long For This Unlikely Romance
Bobby would not be happy about that.
Summary:
- 911 is a procedural drama that follows the professional and personal lives of Los Angeles first responders.
- Beginning with season 7, the show will air on ABC.
- Fans are hoping that under a different network, the production team will shake things up with new romances.
- While the hope to see Buck and Eddie canonized is almost gone, viewers are thinking of another couple, Ravi and May.
Since 911 began airing, fans have been captivated by the show's portrayal of the main characters and their personal lives, as well as the entire work process. While the show still focuses heavily on the 911 cases that come into the dispatcher line, it's everything that happens outside of working hours that keeps viewers hooked.
Bobby and Athena, Hen and Karen, Maddie and Chimney, Eddie and Buck, canon or not, these couples have taken over the minds of fans and led to a crazy amount of edits and fanfiction floating around the Internet. If that's not a sign of true commitment and dedication, we don't know what is!
But as the years go by, the audience starts to crave something fresh to shake things up. And this time, the couple of choice came out of nowhere, but already captured the hearts of the fans.
911 Ravi and May Romance
As it happens with pretty much every cute character who enters the drama like 911, fans start thinking about pairing them up with someone in the universe.
For the probie Ravi Panikkar, who fans want to see more of in the upcoming season 7, it was decided that there is no better option than May Grant.
Yes, the same May who happens to be the daughter of LAPD Field Sergeant Athena Grant and the stepdaughter of Ravi's Captain Bobby Nash. Can you see the attraction?
Although no one knows exactly how old these two characters are, May, who is now in college, is believed to be about 20 years old, while Ravi, though a bit older, also seems to be in his early 20s, so the pairing could easily have worked.
A little two-way crush between the two would give Ravi a storyline to pursue and May some more reasons to show up at Station 118 with innocent visits.
The show, which now focuses heavily on the complicated lives of adults, would only have been better with a dash of light and slightly awkward young adult romance.
Unfortunately, canon-wise, there aren't too many chances that May and Ravi will end up together. Just like her character, Corinne Massiah, the actress who portrays May Grant, had to take a step back from the 911 production to attend college. So even if there was a crush, she wouldn't be around much to show it.
Whether the creative team behind 911 hears the prayers of the fans and decides to answer them, or if there's another storyline in store for Ravi, we'll just have to wait and see.
Season 7 of 911 will premiere on March 14 on ABC, so be sure to tune in to be the first to find out all the details.
