Now fans are left to figure out the character's age themselves.

911 captivates its viewers with a wonderful combination of sharp social themes, a gripping plot and touching relationships between characters. This show has become a favorite of many viewers and deservedly earns high ratings.

The only question on the minds of the show's viewers is: what will happen to the show's timeline?

Don't get me wrong: fans wouldn't even notice inconsistencies if the writers didn't point them out in numerous episodes.

Trying to figure out the age of one of the main characters, Evan Buckley, portrayed by Oliver Stark, has left viewers extremely confused and lost.

The first time his age is mentioned is in season 1, where Buck tells Bobby that he is 26. In season 2, Buck's age was changed to 28.

The third time it's mentioned is in season 4, where he's supposed to be 29. And only now, during season 6, he is in his 30s.

"The timeline is…what it is. There are definitely some goofs, but it more or less works: sometimes more, sometimes less. I like to think it's human error or changes in the shooting schedule that skew the dates, rather than the creative team just not caring, but maybe they just don't expect any fans to care about it," Redditor nomoreuturns said, later suggesting their own theory which could make Buck's age a bit more believable for the public.

All you have to do is imagine that he was born in late March or in early April 1992. Considering that some seasons took place in the same year, this date would fit the storyline of the show without really breaking it.

But even then, Buckley would be weeks, if not days, away from his 31st birthday.

After all, the timeline does not matter as much for the character arc. And when it comes to fanfiction: who exactly would care for a couple-years change?

To see how the story unfolds for Evan Buckley, tune in to 911 on FOX every Monday, or catch up on older episodes on Fox online, Hulu, Vudu and Prime Video.
