How many times have you reread the Harry Potter series? Perhaps, you should get ready for one more round: after reading these 7 facts, it's the books' turn again.

The Patronus

The Patronus is a physical manifestation of its caster's soul. This makes James and Lily Potter literal soulmates: his Patronus was a stag, and hers was a doe.

Other than that, while Hermione had an otter Patronus, Ron's was a Jack Russell terrier — the dog that was created for chasing otters. Does it make them soulmates?..

The Boggart

Boggarts are able to sense a person's deepest fear and take its form to scare them away. For instance, Ron's Boggart took the shape of a giant spider, but they're not always so obvious.

According to J.K. Rowling, if Voldemort was to face a Boggart, it would see his own dead body as most of all, he was terrified of dying.

The Death

This brings us to the next point. Voldemort spent his entire life trying to become immortal and died at 71 years old — while his biggest enemy, Albus Dumbledore, who hasn't been chasing immortality at all, lived to die at 150 years old.

This is incredibly ironic: in reality, the Dark Lord could've just chilled and still lived longer.

The Godfather

The greatest prankster of his generation, Sirius Black died like his successor Fred Weasley — while laughing. But actually, Sirius didn't have to die as initially, JKR wanted to kill off Arthur Weasley instead of Harry's Godfather.

Still, Sirius was sort of there: Harry both first arrived and last left Privet Drive on his motorbike with Hagrid.

The Chosen One

Snape hated both Harry and Nevill for a very similar reason. While Harry was the reason Lily Potter, Snape's one-way sweetheart, sacrificed herself, Nevill was the other option for being The Chosen One.

If Voldemort chose Nevill, Lily Potter wouldn't have to die at all — and in Snape's book, that was enough to hate the boy.

The Elder Wand

Despite being an artifact from an old tale, the Elder Wand actually existed and was the most powerful wand of them all.

Its real source of power was not Death's magic, though: the Elder Wand was the only known wand that contained Thestral's hair. Arguably, it was the reason why this wand was so different from all the others.

The Anniversary

Harry and Ron were not friends with Hermione from the get-go: they only became close after the boys saved her from the troll on Halloween.

The time for that was by no means chosen randomly: that day also happened to be the 10-year anniversary of Lily and James Potter's deaths. You lose some, you gain some, right?

Here's a bonus fact for you: every 30 seconds, at least one person in the world starts reading the Harry Potter books for the first time.

If you've reached the end of this article, your first time's likely already happened — but to support all the new Potterheads, you can also dive right in and spark some magic in your life!
