5 Times When The Boys' Homelander Was Put In His Place
Who bullied Homelander the most?
Homelander is a menace, no doubt about that. But deep inside, he is a traumatized child.
While it's almost impossible to deal with Homelander physically, some characters actually managed to put him in his place just with the magic of words. Let's take a minute to remember those satisfactory moments.
5. "You are my greatest failure." — Dr. Vogelbaum
In the 7th episodes of season 1, Homelander pays a visit to Dr. Jonah Vogelbaum, a retired Vought scientist responsible for Homelander becoming who he is.
Vogelbaum deeply regrets keeping Homelander as a lab rat, but at the end, he directly says that Homelander is his greatest failure.
4. "It's your party, you can cry if you want to." — Stan Edgar
Stan Edgar completely owns this list, starting with that scene when Homelander was forcing Starlight to sing for his birthday party. But Stan Edgar interfered and just reminded Homelander who is the boss.
3. "You are not our most valuable asset." — Stan Edgar
This conversation between Stan Edgar and Homelander is intense from start to finish. And you can see how intimidated Homelander feels because he can also feel that Edgar isn't afraid of him at all.
This entire dialogue looks like a parent lecturing his son, and you actually forget for a second that this guy is the most powerful supe out there.
2. "You are a f***ing disappointment." — Soldier Boy
This must've been very painful for Homelander to hear these words from his biological dad.
The way Soldier Boy delivered this line is the definition of "emotional damage." One might even feel sorry for a second for this poor guy.
1. "You are not a god. You are simply bad product." — Stan Edgar
When Homelander takes over Vought, Stan Edgar is forced to leave. During their conversation, Homelander confesses that he used to be intimidated by Edgar, but now Homelander is the big boss and Edgar is nothing.
However, Edgar dominates Homelander once again. And he is actually the first one to call Homelander a disappointment.
