5 Shows to Watch on Prime if You Are a Fan of Yellowstone
No need to wait for whatever is coming.
Westerns are conquering the world with newfound power, and there's no escaping the reality in which Yellowstone is at the top position in almost every chart.
However, with all the drama surrounding it, and the fact that the final installment of the show won't be coming out anytime soon, it's about the right time to binge watch some other shows that have similar vibe, if not better.
So there you have it, 5 western TV shows to watch on Prime if you are obsessed with Yellowstone.
1. Outer Range ( 2022)
This is a rare case when science fiction mixes with Western genre and as a result we end up having something surprisingly perfect to watch. The show is created by Brian Watkins and it features Josh Brolin and Imogen Poots as leading characters
At the center of the series there’s a rancher who is fighting for his land and family, but in the meantime discovers a mystery at the edge of Wyoming's wilderness. The series premiered in 2022, and there’s going to be season 2 later this year. The series is full of everything: gritty humor, unsolved mysteries and complex characters.
2. The English (2022)
If you love Emily Blunt as much as you love Westerns, this series is your best choice. The show revolves around her character, Cornelia Locke, as an Englishwoman who arrives in the new and wild landscape of the West to take revenge on the man she believes is responsible for her son's death.
3. Lawmen: Bass Reeves (2023)
This Western miniseries will be your perfect watch if you don't like to be told long stories, but need all action up and front. This show is centered on a figure of Bass Reeves, a legendary man who ended up being among the greatest frontier heroes and one of the first Black deputy U.S. marshals.
By the way, Taylor Sheridan serves as the executive producer of the series, so you can only imagine what that means...
4. Joe Pickett (2021 - 2023)
This Western series actually has a 100% score on Rotten Tomatoes, so this fact may serve as an argument "for" watching it. The series tells the story of a man named Joe Pickett, a Wyoming-based game warden who lives with his loved ones in a small town and the surrounding wilderness of Yellowstone National Park. Passed the vibe check, right?
The neo-western crime drama features Michael Dorman playing the main character, and frankly, the viewers couldn’t get enough of him. That’s how perfect he was for the role.
5. Deadwood (2004 - 2006)
Now let's move away from the new westerns and give this rather old show a chance. Set in the late 1800s, the series revolves around people who are literally trapped in an outlaw town called Deadwood in South Dakota.
Crime and corruption are the only things that rule this town and it turns out to be the very place where two conflicted men come to start a new life. But will they succeed?
