These bullies thought they were tough — until they were shown who's boss.

Bullying is a pervasive issue that affects millions of people around the world. While it is often seen in schools and workplaces, bullying can happen anywhere and at any age.

Fortunately, movies have provided a platform to not only raise awareness about this issue, but also to empower victims and teach bullies a lesson.

Let us explore some of the best scenes of bullies getting humbled in movies.

Let me In

In this 2010 movie directed by Matt Reeves, a bullied young boy Owen befriends a young female vampire Abby.

In one of the scenes of the film, Owen gets caught by the bullies tormenting him and making him drown in a swimming pool. But they got a brutal payback from Abby.

This was the last time these guys bullied anyone.

Spider-Man

The list would be totally incomplete without the iconic scene from the first Spider-Man movie directed by Sam Raimi.

Peter, who had just acquired his abilities, sent his sworn bully Flash Thompson flying down the entire hallway and hitting a teacher, resulting in food being spilled all over him.

A Christmas Story

Even in such a bright family Christmas comedy, there was room left for some bullies. A boy named Scut constantly bullies the protagonist Ralphie.

But once Ralphie's patience ran out, the bully probably regretted bullying him as he got beaten up really badly.

Good Will Hunting

This bully got humbled in a different way — not physically but intellectually. In the bar scene a snobby Harvard guy tried to embarrass Chuckie played by Ben Affleck making him look ridiculous in front of the girls.

But when Will (Matt Damon) sees this, he just comes in and completely humbles the upstart.

Nobody

Nobody is a story about a docile family man (at first sight). The protagonist, played by Bob Odenkirk is a retired assassin and he reveals his true self in the bus scene.

In this scene a group of thugs got on the bus, bullying the passengers and even harassing a girl who was on the bus.

This made the protagonist go savage, and some of the bullies didn't have the opportunity to regret as they didn't even make it out of this bus.
