5 Magically Perfect Harry Potter’s Duos, Ranked by Reddit

Despite being powerful wizards, the Harry Potter characters always needed somebody’s help and company while studying the magic and then fighting against the evil forces.

Redditors chose their favorite onscreen partnerships of the franchise, with 5 of them being enlisted here (and sorry, it doesn’t include Voldemort and his nose).

5. Neville Longbottom & Luna Lovegood

These wizards have a lot in common: they both have lost family members and the majority of the students don't understand their inner conflicts. It’s no surprise they get together not only as the main members of Dumbledore’s army, but in the final battle of Hogwarts too. Sadly, after that they eventually separate pursuing their own paths.

4. Harry Potter & Ron Weasley

This double act is made up by two “codependent losers”, as voiced by Redditor @Familiar-Budget-7140. Although Harry and Ron are more associated with constituting a trio alongside Hermione, they did many essential things without the girl, from finding the solution to the Chamber of Secrets’ mystery to destroying Voldemort’s locket.

3. Sirius Black & Remus Lupin

It was the duo of the Professor of Defence Against the Dark Arts and Azkaban’s ex-prisoner who helped to uncover the mystery of the third movie, capturing Peter Pettigrew aka the Rat. They managed to maintain their friendship through decades and to help the son of the deceased James Potter in his lasting battle against Voldemort.

2. Harry Potter & Luna Lovegood

Next comes, presumably, the quietest friendship of the whole franchise, however, one of the most remarkable ones. Both Harry and Luna know the pain of the loss and not belonging to the society, just like Nevill. Their thestral club and the respective scene of the Order of the Phoenix definitely won over the hearts of millions of the viewers.

1. Fred & George Weasley

Of course, it’d be impossible to imagine such a list without the Weasley twins topping it. These redheads are the main comic relief of the franchise, with their never-ending pranks, catchphrases and glowing charisma of James and Oliver Phelps, who portrayed them in the movies. Disappointingly, the more you like this duo, the more devastating their finale feels for you, with Fred dying in the Hogwarts battle in George’s hands.
