Ryder faced up to three years in prison, but she was ultimately sentenced to three years of probation, 480 hours of community service, and some hefty sums to be paid in fines and restitution to the store.
4. Tom Cruise’s Scientology Propaganda
The Mission Impossible star has been a member of the Church of Scientology since the 1980s, but it wasn’t until the late 2000s that he truly became the face of the Church. In 2008, a video of Cruise doing the Church’s bidding was leaked.
The propaganda video lasts nearly 10 unsettling minutes, and the actor spends the entire clip talking up his Church’s apprehensive dogmas.
