Exterminate! Exterminate!

Throughout the history of both classic and new-school Doctor Who, some villains have always been present in the story.

One such villain, of course, would be the Daleks. The image of these aliens goes hand in hand with the title of the series itself.

Despite their malevolence, humans seem to enjoy the Daleks so much that they make their own copies and treat them like their own pets.

Of course, this is just one of the extreme lengths that fans will go to. But even less crazy viewers admit their love for the Daleks and their determination to bring the Doctor down.

Aside from their futuristic looks, the Daleks are also known for their excellent lines that make the audience laugh uncontrollably.

Here are the top 5 best Dalek quotes that you will want to remember.

"You taught us to imagine. And we imagined your irrelevance".

This line, from the episode Evolution of the Daleks, is one of the greatest roasts ever said to the Doctor in the history of Who. For someone who doesn't have a mouth, they say absolutely insane things.

"Do not blaspheme!"

Like the Doctor himself, viewers were quite surprised to learn that the Daleks had learned the concept of blasphemy. This brilliant storyline was part of the series 1 finale episode The Parting of the Ways.

Since then, it has taken its place in a list of many quotes that Whovians try to say using only their best Dalek impressions.

"This is not war! This is pest control!"

The nice thing about the Daleks is that they hate everyone equally. Their quarrel with another space species, the Cybermen, was a highlight of the Doomsday episode of Series 2.

The Doctor may say that Daleks have only one emotion, which is hatred, but they clearly have some sass in them too.

"Would you care for some tea?"

This was a hilariously surprising first interaction of the Daleks with the Eleventh Doctor at the beginning of Series 5. They made quite a nice impression as Winston Churchill's servants, too bad it didn't last long.

"Mercy!"

Probably one of River Song's most badass moments was when a Dalek begged her for mercy. Needless to say, she didn't hesitate to shoot the one that hurt the Doctor. But she, along with the audience, savored every moment before.
